Production catalytic fluid AUS32 (AdBlue type) on the DEF CT500 automatic unit.

Catalytic fluid AUS32 (type AdBlue) is a special liquid reagent (an aqueous solution of 32.5% urea and 67.5% demineralized water) used in modern diesel engines with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system.
It is designed to reduce emissions of harmful nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere by 90% or more, ensuring compliance with Euro-5 environmental standards
and Euro-6.
AUS32 consumption is usually 4-7% of diesel fuel consumption by the engine.

Our technology is based on the application of a cavitation reactor to instantly dissolve urea in water. In the DEF CT500 plant, a mixture of urea and water in the required proportion is pumped through a cavitation reactor.

At the same time, solid crystals of urea are effectively destroyed by shock waves arising during the implosion of cavitation bubbles into nanoparticles.

In this state, the ratio of the surface area to the volume of urea increases significantly, which ensures its dissolution in water in a matter of seconds.
The energy of cavitation is eventually transformed into thermal energy, which allows the dissolution process to be carried out without additional heating.

The principle of operation of the AdBlue installation:
Water [WATER] from an external source is supplied to the reverse osmosis purification unit [1], after which it is pumped by the built-in pump into the buffer tank [2].
From the buffertank [2] purified water is supplied by a high-performance pump to the tank [3] for preparation of AUS32 (AdBlue type). The volume of water needed to prepare the solution is controlled by a special sensor installed in the container [3].
After filling the container [3] with water, urea [UREA] is fed using a screw dispenser [4].
Thanks to the special design of the container [3], urea does not enter the water filling the container directly, but is fed together with water directly into the cavitation reactor [5], thus compensating for the temperature drop due to the endothermic reaction. The solution of urea and water from the reactor is returned to the tank [3].
The concentration of the solution in the container [3] is monitored in real time by an industrial refractometer [6]. As soon as the concentration reaches 32.5%, the supply of urea [UREA] is stopped and the finished solution (~500 liters) is pumped into an AUS32 (AdBlue type) storage tank in the production warehouse.
The entire process is controlled by a computer, PLC (programmed logic controller), which excludes the influence of the "human factor".
