Tegeron Roofing Ecobit — roofing bitumen mastic DSTU B V.2.7-106-2001 It is a sealing, waterproofing, anti-corrosion non-hardening mastic made on the basis of butyl rubber, bitumen, fillers and other technological additives.
It is a sealing, waterproofing, anti-corrosion non-hardening mastic made on the basis of butyl rubber, bitumen, fillers and other technological additives.
PURPOSE:
installation of a new roof, repair of an old one (together with a soleroid — a bituminous coating or in combination with it);
- coating waterproofing of foundations, walls, for sealing closed vertical and horizontal floors.
joints of external walls, etc.;
- sealing the joints of rolled insulation materials;
- waterproofing of various surfaces (reinforced concrete, metal, wood, etc.);
- sealing of closed vertical and horizontal joints of external walls;
- waterproofing of floors (showers, bathrooms, toilets);
- anti-corrosion paint coating of gas and water pipes, metal structures, car bottoms, etc. The mastic applied to the metal surface provides a reliable anti-corrosion coating, significantly increases the service life of pipelines and metal structures.
PROPERTIES:
- is a thick mass, ready for use, which must be mixed if necessary;
- easily succumbs to the pressure of the applied tool;

- has good adhesion to horizontal and vertical surfaces;
- forms a long-lasting elastic coating;
- does not crack;
- work with mastic is allowed during rain, because mastic has the ability to displace water;
- has the property of flexibility at low temperatures;
- flow resistance and shrinkage at high temperatures.
APPLICATION:
The surface must be cleaned of weak damage, dirt and dust damage. Mastic is applied to a dry surface with a roller, brush, spatula, in a layer of at least 1 mm at an ambient temperature of at least 50 C.
During roofing waterproofing works, the surface must be cleaned of weak, destroyed covering elements, dirt, dust, grease and other contamination. Mastic is applied to the surface with a brush, a spatula, a roller in a layer of at least 1 mm at a surface temperature not lower than 0°C. The number of layers is at least two. Consumption of mastic during application of one layer is not less than 1.3 kg/m2. The drying time of a layer 1 mm thick is 24 hours. Simultaneous application of several layers of mastic with the use of reinforced material is allowed. At the same time, the drying time can increase to seven days. To improve the operational properties of the coating, it is recommended to use roofing powder on the surface of the mastic layer.
Mastic is used as a ground layer during the installation of roofing material. Mastic is applied with a spatula or roller to a pre-cleaned surface in a layer 1 mm thick. Consumption of mastic is 1.3 kg/m2.
The drying time of the mastic layer is 24 hours. If the thickness of the layer increases, the drying time may increase. After the mastic layer has dried, a layer of roofing material is glued onto the surface using heating with a gas burner. Joints formed during the laying of roofing material are treated with mastic.
During anti-corrosion painting, mastic is applied to the prepared, cleaned surface using a roller or brush. The consumption of a single-layer coating is 0.2 kg/m2. A two-layer coating is recommended. If necessary, it is possible to dilute the mastic with a solvent (white spirit,
gasoline — solvent).
To increase the adhesion of the mastic and ease of work, in the cold season, it is recommended to pre-heat the mastic in a metal
container on a closed fire to 500C.
STORAGE: Keep away from fire and heating devices.
PACKAGING: Mastic is packaged in containers with a capacity of 1 kg to 250 kg.
