Laboratory burettes are used for accurate measurement of spent liquid.
A burette is the most important type of measuring laboratory vessel used for precise titrimetric analysis. Externally, it is a thin glass tube with graduation applied to the side surface (large divisions through milliliter and small). One end of the tube is open, the other is equipped with a shut-off valve.
Varieties of laboratory burettes.
First of all, burettes are produced in different volumes - from 1 ml to 100 ml. 25- and 50-milliliter products are most in demand. Large 100 ml models (Hempel burettes), as well as small 1 ml, 2 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml models (micro burettes) are not left out. The graduation of microburettes differs from other types of this laboratory dish: thanks to the step of 0.01 ml, it is possible to perform the most accurate measurements - with an accuracy of 0.005 ml.
According to the accuracy of measurements, two classes of burettes are distinguished: 1st (higher accuracy) and 2nd (less high). The error should not be greater than the smallest price of graduation.
According to GOST, there are also 2 main types of data capacities: with the ability to set the waiting time (belongs only to the first class) and without such an opportunity (can refer to both the first and the second class).
In addition, volumetric and weighing burettes, piston and gas burettes can be distinguished.(//tractor-service.com)
