Purpose

BNK Ecobit mastic is intended for the installation of combined and non-roll roofs, waterproofing and anti-corrosion protection of reinforced concrete, concrete, brick and plastered surfaces, as well as metal structures in conditions of a moderate climate and operation in the atmosphere and soils with an increased content of chemically aggressive substances.

Application

It is recommended to work on the device with BNK Ecobit mastic if there is no precipitation, the relative humidity is not more than 70% and the air temperature is not lower than minus 20 C. Application is carried out by the aggregate method in uniform horizontal stripes, keeping the spray torch at a distance of 25-30 cm from the surface. It is possible to apply with a cylindrical roller, but the consumption of the coating at the same time increases from 75 to 150 g per 1 sq.m. in 1 layer, which increases its hardening time and productivity.

Advantage

Thanks to alloprene rubber, which is the basis of BHK Ecobit mastic, it has high weather resistance and adhesiveness. Mastic solvent — toluene allows you to work from minus 20 °C. The mastic, due to the production technology during hardening, is a rubber film and has a high adhesion strength to surfaces.

Bituminous-nairite BNK Ecobit and bituminous-latex BLK Ecobit compositions are used as a roll-free waterproofing coating (based on bituminous-polymer materials) instead of bituminous materials, in particular roofing material, insulation, waterproofing. These compositions can be used for insulation of prefabricated, monolithic and prefabricated-monolithic underground parts of buildings and structures, inter-floor ceilings, as well as bathrooms and balcony slabs of civil, industrial, public and auxiliary buildings and structures.

The device of roll-free waterproofing with the use of a bitumen-latex composition is allowed at a temperature of at least 5 °C, bitumen-nairite - up to -20 °C. The use of bitumen-polymer materials is not allowed under conditions of action of strong oxidizing agents (chromic, strong gray, nitric acids), organic solvents (benzene, toluene, xylene, gasoline, etc.), oils and concentrated alkalis.

The bitumen-latex composition, in addition to petroleum building bitumen (GOST 6617-76*), includes synthetic latex SKS-50P (GOST 15080(77*), L-4 (TU 6-01-782-73) or L-73) or L-TU 6-01-780-73).

Latex is an aqueous dispersion of rubber, manufactured by specialized factories and sent to the consumer in metal barrels with a capacity of 200...250 liters or in railwaycisterns, stored at a temperature of not less than 10 °C and not more than 60 °C in a closed container. During freezing (which is not allowed), the latex coagulates. Latex is not fireproof.

The bitumen-nairite composition includes chloroprene rubber (nairite A, B).
