Incorrect installation by the master installer (for example, when mixing up the positive and negative connections).

How to determine that the electromagnet does not work?

An electromagnetic coil is a device that is activated when an electrical voltage is applied to it and attracts a pressure plate connected to the compressor shaft through a splined connection. Thus, the solenoid coil controls the engagement of the pulley with the compressor shaft as it starts the car's air conditioning system.

The electromagnet is often the cause of the breakdown of the air conditioner, so the correct diagnosis of its operation is extremely important when detecting malfunctions in the air conditioner.

How to check: This can be done with a tester. The resistance at 12 V should be approximately 3-4 Ohms, and at 24 - much higher, about 6-12 Ohms. If the resistance does not correspond to these values ​​or is absent at all, then the electromagnetic coil does not work and needs to be replaced.
