Planter 5.4 is a grain seeder designed for regular sowing of grain seeds (wheat, rye, barley, oats), legumes (peas, beans, soybeans, lentils, beans, chickpeas, lupins) with simultaneous application of mineral fertilizers.
The seed sowing rate is set by changing the gear ratio in the gear mechanism, which has three main positions. Gears of the transmission mechanism are thermally treated, which ensures an increase in the resource and reliability of their operation. And also, the settings of the working length of the coil, regulation of the working width of the coil, group regulation of the valve of the seeding device and change of the rotation frequency of the shaft of the sowing device are additionally set.

Opener
The coulter disc is made of 3 mm thick borated steel, which after the appropriate heat treatment significantly increases the durability and increases the service life of the seeder. The coulter ensures the cutting of the harvest residues and the deepening of the disks to the specified depth, which significantly improves the uniformity of the seedlings. The seeder is equipped with the guides of the openers of tubular constructions, which ensure paired positioning of the openers in longitudinal and horizontal position. The mounting rods of the coulters are made of rolled metal of round (harder) section with hinged joints for regulating the pressure on the ground and hinged joints, ensuring their reliability.

Seeding apparatus
The seeding device of the grain seeder of original use has galvanized metal products (shafts, housing and hybrid group). And thanks to metal-ceramic coils, the seeding device will last a long time and will not lose its quality over the years.

Spring
A reinforced spring is installed on the shock absorber rod, which significantly increases the pressure on the coulter. This allows to work according to the minimal technology of tillage of the soil.

Marker system
A separate hydraulic cylinder is installed on each marker. Thanks to this, the process of controlling the marker system by the operator directly from the tractor cabin is simplified.
