KAS is a highly effective mineral fertilizer, which is an aqueous solution of urea and ammonium nitrate, which contains 32% nitrogen (ammonium and nitrate nitrogen of ammonium nitrate and amide nitrogen of urea). At the main application, it is a highly effective fertilizer, equivalent to ammonium nitrate or urea in terms of effect on crop yields. KAS practically does not contain free ammonia, which eliminates nitrogen losses during loading, transportation, storage and application.
The fertilizer looks like a light yellow liquid. It has a wide range of applications in technologies for growing agricultural crops. It is used for foliar, basal feeding of plants in the form of multi-component tank mixtures, for the main fertilizer, before seed cultivation and when irrigating agricultural crops in all soil and climatic zones of Ukraine.

KAS has a number of advantages compared to solid nitrogen fertilizers, so plants are provided with three forms of nitrogen during the growing season - amide, ammonium and nitrate; the rate of nitrogen is applied more evenly and precisely; slightly higher rate of nitrogen utilization by plants; the ability to use in one tank a mixture of microelements and microelements, pesticides, retardants, full mechanization of all technological processes, and the costs of application are reduced. For the storage of KAS, typical storage tanks are used, which are designed to store aqueous ammonia and liquid
complex fertilizers. KAS is transported and applied by serial machines, which are adapted for applying liquid fertilizers. KAS is an explosive and flammable fertilizer.
It can be applied with the help of high-performance units without simultaneous introduction into the soil, as well as with irrigation water. The solution contains a corrosion inhibitor to protect equipment made of carbon steel. Chemicals approved for use in the prescribed manner are used as corrosion inhibitors. The low crystallization temperature of −2°С and freezing temperature of −26°С allows to transport and store KAS all year round. The formation of crystals and short-term freezing of KAS solutions in storage containers does not represent a great danger, since the crystals dissolve as the temperature rises, and nitrogen
fertilizers completely restore their properties.
