Biological signs. A variety of the steppe ecotype, intensive, medium-ripe. The duration of the growing season in the spring form is 98-113 days, in the winter form it is equal to standard varieties. The variety is characterized by a more uniform distribution during the accumulation of dry matter in the grain filling phase. At the same time, this variety can effectively use favorable conditions (irrigation) for pouring grain at the end of the growing season. In comparison with standard varieties, it is not affected by dusty and hard head. The Lutescens variety is a white ear, not pubescent, spineless with osteoid processes 15-20 mm long, 8-10 cm, medium density, cylindrical, in the upper part of the ear, 4 ears are close together.Grain red, medium, oval, groove narrow, shallow, mass 1000 grains up to 40 g and higher. Spike scale ovoid-lanceolate in shape, 1 cm long, 0.5 cm wide, moderate nervation. The tooth is medium, blunt, slightly bent towards the shoulder. The shoulder is medium, the bottom of the ear is beveled. Keel is well expressed. The bush is upright, the pubescence of the leaves is weak, the wax coating is weak in the bushing phase, the leaf color is light green.

Economically useful properties. According to the data of the competitive variety test, the Clarisa variety in its spring form had an excess of 0.56 t/ha with the yield of the Kharkivskaya 30 standard under irrigation of 3.86 t/ha. With autumn sowing at the optimal sowing time, the yield of Clarissa variety was at the level of the Odesskaya 267 standard, and with late sowing dates (first-second decade of October) the yield increase on irrigation compared to the standard amounted to 0.36 t/ha. The maximum grain yield in experiments was 8.7 t/ha with irrigation.
