NIVA ODESSAYA
extra strong wheat
Originator: Breeding and Genetic Institute - National Center for Genetic Studies and Sorting Studies
In the Register of plant varieties of Ukraine since 2014. Recommended for cultivation in all agro-climatic zones.
Economic and biological characteristics:
intensive type of universal use on various agricultural backgrounds. According to the variety type, the variety is similar to the Pysanka variety.
yield is 7.9-10.2 t/ha, which is higher than national standards by 9.4-14.7%. It is distinguished by a large, well-seeded ear (62-82 grains) and high productive bushiness (616-818 stems per 1 m2).

medium-sized (96-112 cm), relatively resistant to lying (7-8 points), does not crumble (6-7 points).
medium-ripe, growing season 285 days, matures at the same time as the antonovka variety.
high frost and winter resistance (8-9 points), high drought and heat resistance (8-9 points)
resistance to the main diseases in field conditions at the level of 5-6 points.
Grain quality: extra-strong wheat - protein content 13.2-14.1%, gluten -29-33%, flour strength - 452-515 o.a.
Approbation signs: variety of erythrospermum, spike white, pyramidal, long - 10.2-12.4 cm; spikelet scale oval-lanceolate; prong - long (4.7-5.3 mm) straight; shoulder medium) size (0.79-0.84 mm), elevated. Grain - elongated, wide - 3.3 3.4 mm, length - 6.9-7.5 mm, thickness - 2.9-3.0 mm, ratio of length to width 2.2.
Agrotechnical requirements: the variety in special experiments showed a relatively high resistance to low and medium agrofonov (type of reaction of the Pysanka variety), however, it responds well to the introduction of nitrogen fertilizers (K - 10.3-12.4). Sowing times and sowing rates are usual and depend on the condition of the soil) and the growing zone.
Features of the variety: it differs in xeromorphic structure; a high level of adaptation to the arid conditions of the steppe. A variety of the intensive type, however, it is suitable for placement on non-steam predecessors. It has tendencies of increased endurance to the early terms of sowing.
