Description: Simple modified maize hybrid RAM 8663 is intended for cultivation ongrain in the steppe, forest-steppe zone and in the territory of Polesia. Presented in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2016.

Corn plants of the RAM 8663 hybrid do not bush, have a relatively short length (230 cm) and 15-17 leaves on the main stem. The beginning has a cone-cylindrical shape and a good length - 25-27 cm. The height of its attachment is at the level of 70 cm. The stem of the beginning is red, the number of rows of grains is from 10 to 12. The grains have a yellow-orange color and belong to the intermediate type (closer to tooth-shaped). The weight of 1000 grains is approximately 260-280 g.

Features of RAM 8663:

• Highly resistant to damage by the most common infectious diseases and pests;

• Guarantees a high yield of dry grain - up to 13-14 t/ha;

• Grain yield is 82%, starch content in grains is 72.1%, protein is 8%;

Recommendations: The optimal plant density of hybrid RAM 8663 corn in the pre-harvest period for the steppe zone is 55 thousand/ha, for the forest-steppe - 55-65 thousand/ha, for Polesia - 65-70 thousand/ha.
