Purpose - Combined post-emergence herbicide of systemic action for the protection of grain crops against annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds.

The mechanism of action of the herbicide Alfa-Star-Duo
After processing, the active ingredients of the drug quickly penetrate the leaves and move to the growth points in the plants. The action of the drug consists in suppressing the enzyme acetolactate synthase and the subsequent blocking of the formation of valine and isoleucine, disrupting the process of synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids. At the same time, within 3 hours after application, cell division and plant growth of sensitive weed species stop.

Visible symptoms of action (growth arrest, chlorosis, necrosis) appear after 5-10 days, and the complete death of weeds occurs after 15-25 days. Less sensitive
and overgrown weeds may not die, but their growth and further development slows down significantly. Warm, humid weather increases the effectiveness of the herbicide, while cool and dry weather slows down its effect.

General recommendations
The herbicide should be applied to actively growing weeds. The best period to control annual weeds is the phase of 2-4 leaves, perennial weeds - the rosette phase (10-15 cm). To enhance the effect, the herbicide can be used in a mixture with the surfactant Alfalip (0.1 l / 100 l of water). The drug cannot be used if the plants are wet from dew or rain, as well as if rain is expected within 3 hours after treatment. Avoid using the drug during heat, drought, frost, strong wind and other adverse weather conditions. Use the herbicide in a dose of no more than 60 g/ha once per season.
To obtain high efficiency, it is necessary: spraying is carried out at a wind speed of no more than 5 m/s and air humidity not lower than 50%; observe the uniformity and quality of spraying over the entire field area; use South Africa; the agitator of the sprayer must work during the entire processing time.
