Ammonium thiosulfate N-12%, S-26, Cherkasy region.

Ammonium thiosulfate contains nitrogen in ammonium form and thiosulfate sulfur, which exists in two oxidation states. This contributes to greater availability of sulfur for many plants. When applied, ammonium thiosulfate decomposes into two parts: sulfate sulfur (SO4)2 and elemental sulfur (S0). Sulfate sulfur is available to the plant immediately after application, but elemental sulfur must go through the process of oxidation to sulfate, and therefore is available to the plant only after a certain time. In this way, uniform availability of sulfur is ensured for several weeks.

Ammonium thiosulfate is compatible with basic liquid fertilizers, such as KAS, RKD, as well as plant protection products.

The joint application of KAS and ATS contributes to the improvement of nitrogen assimilation by plants, which leads to the reduction of nitrogen losses from the soil, helps to increase the content of ammonia and nitrate forms of nitrogen, increases the mobility of phosphates and improves the structure of sod-podzolic soils. The use of ammonium thiosulfate can be economically, ecologically and agronomically highly effective in various types of irrigation systems.
