it is used for T-4, TT-4 tractors, as well as for tractors and special equipment on which the A-01 engine is installed.

The A-01 starter motor reducer (Figure 1) transfers rotation from the starter unit to the diesel engine. The reducer is assembled in a cast iron housing and is attached to the flywheel housing with three bolts. The starter motor is attached to the gearbox housing. Control of the gearbox is carried out by means of one lever.

The two-stage gearbox (RPD 03a-19C2A) is turned on in the following order. The gearbox gear is engaged with the diesel flywheel by means of a lever located on the clutch cover of the engine. The protrusions of the cargo (item 58) of the holder (item 57) of the switching mechanism are engaged with the edge of the sleeve (item 56) of the pusher (item 53).

At the moment of engagement of the first gear clutch, the gear lever is turned to the left until it stops, that is, towards the starting motor, the bevel gear (item 40) turns the stop (item 24) of the first gear clutch. At the same time, the stop (pos. 24) moves along the bevels of the stop (pos. 29), moving and squeezing the brakediscs, and already through them the driven discs (pos. 20) of the first gear clutch, which stop the epicyclic gear (pos. 12), connected to them by spikes. The sun gear (item 8), which constantly rotates from the starter motor, simultaneously sets in motion all three satellites (item 14).

The satellites roll on the rim of the fixed epicyclic gear and begin to rotate the housing (item 17) of the overrunning clutch. The rollers (item 26) of the overrunning clutch insert it into the wedge with the shaft (item 1) of the gearbox, giving it rotation, which it, in turn, transmits to the flywheel of the diesel engine.
