According to some data, the Californian meat breed is the second most common meat breed in the world, which already indicates the effectiveness of its breeding. Despite the fact that California rabbits are considered a meat breed, the remarkable qualities of the hair cover of these rabbits allow them to be used in the full-fledged meat skinning direction. These rabbits perfectly adapt to different conditions, which allows them to be bred both in the north and in the south. Californians are characterized by fast growth, high yield of meat and its excellent quality. By three months, they reach 2.5 kg, and by four months, over 3 kg. When used in reproduction, they live for about 5 years. Rabbit size is high, about ten rabbits, mothers take good care of their offspring.
