It is allowed to work with mastic during the rain, because mastic has the ability to displace water;
Possesses flexibility at low temperatures;
Flow resistance and shrinkage at high temperatures.
Application:
The surface must be cleaned of loose, broken elements, dirt and dust. Mastic is applied to a dry surface with a roller, brush, spatula, in a layer of at least 1 mm at an ambient temperature of at least 5°C.
The number of layers is not less than two. Consumption of mastic when applying one layer is not less than 1.3 kg/m2. The drying time of a layer with a thickness of 1 mm is 24 hours. Simultaneous application of several layers of mastic with the use of reinforcing material is allowed. At the same time, the drying time can be increased to seven days.
In order to improve the operational properties of the coating, it is recommended to use roofing powder on the surface of the mastic layer.
When performing work on the installation of roofing material, mastic is used as a primer layer.
Drying of the mastic layer takes 24 hours. When the thickness of the layer increases, the drying time may increase. After the mastic layer has dried, a layer of roofing material is glued onto the surface using heating with a gas burner. The joints formed during the installation of roofing material are treated with mastic.
When performing anti-corrosion painting works, the mastic is applied to the prepared, cleaned surface with the help of a roller or a brush. The consumption of a single-layer coating is 0.2 kg/m2. A two-layer coating is recommended. If necessary, it is possible to dilute the mastic with a solvent (white spirit,
gasoline - solvent).
In order to increase the stickiness of the mastic and the convenience of work, in the cold season it is recommended to pre-heat the mastic in a metal container over a closed fire to 50°C.
Storage:
Store away from fire and heating appliances.
Packaging:
Mastic is packaged in metal containers with a capacity of: 5, 10, 20 kg.
It can be delivered in any container, upon request.
