Cold bituminous-resin mastic (abbreviated as MBRx Ecobit) is a solution of bitumen plus crushed rubber in an organic solvent, proven waterproofing for concrete, brick, stone, wooden, and metal surfaces with an excellent quality-price ratio. Mastic for pipes has excellent anti-corrosion and waterproofing properties. The designation "cold" indicates the method of application, i.e., that the material is ready for use and does not require additional heating.

The main varieties of MBR - x Ecobit mastics are MBRx - 90 Ecobit and MBRx - T15 Ecobit, well-known bituminous - rubber mastics that have proven themselves in the best way even in the Soviet Union, and are successfully used to this day.

MASTIC IZOL MBRx - 90 Ecobit
The most famous of the ICBM family is Ecobit, primarily due to its low cost and very decent quality. It is successfully used to insulate foundations, bridge supports, basements, roofs, metal and wooden structures and equipment with application temperatures up to 90 °C.

A unique modification of rubber-bitumen mastic, especially relevant for waterproofing metal pipes with operating temperatures up to 150 °C, i.e. not only for heating and hot water supply pipes, but also for steam pipes, which is an unusually high indicator for bituminous insulation. Also, this high-temperature insulation is successfully used for anti-corrosion treatment of equipment operating in the appropriate temperature range. It is designated in the technical documentation as IZOL MBR mastic - x - T15 Ecobit or IZOL MBR mastic - x - 150 Ecobit.

MASTIC ISOL MBR x - 65 Ecobit
Inexpensive MBR - x - 65 Ecobit mastic is perfect for waterproofing a wide variety of surfaces resistant to short-term exposure to organic solvents with operating temperatures up to 65 °C. Dense, but at the same time elastic rubber-bitumen film - will perfectly protect against the effects of water and will last a long time.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION
MBRx mastic is recommended to be used at an ambient temperature of - 10 to + 40 °C, and it is not necessary to preheat the composition. Before using the insulating material, it is thoroughly mixed. The surface on which mastic is to be applied is thoroughly cleaned and dried. The mixture is applied manually with the help of a brush or roller, it is also possible to apply it automatically with the help of special devices. If necessary, the insulation is applied in several layers, in which case one layer needs an interval of 3 hours to dry. The consumption of the composition is from 1 to 2.5 kg per square meter. The thickness of the layer is from 1.5 to 3 mm, complete drying occurs in 24 hours.

The plastic resin-bitumen film formed after drying has excellent water-repellent properties and a significant service life, provided it is protected from ultraviolet light, fire, and mechanical effects.
