It is a mixture of chloroprene rubber and weather-resistant elastomers, bitumen, petroleum polymer, idene-coumarone (styrene) resins and special additives in organic solvents; toluene, xylene, mixtures of ethyl acetate, gasoline and other components.

Hekopren Ecobit mastic can be applied to metal, reinforced concrete, wood and other hard materials, as well as to polyurethane foam, mineral wool plates, and all types of rolled waterproofing materials.

Hekopren Ecobit mastic is applied without preliminary heating by spraying, pouring and sticking at ambient temperatures from -35 to + 45 °C.

Instructions for use of Hekopren Ecobit mastic

Preparation of the concrete base includes the following actions: cleaning of dust, sand and mud, elimination of surface defects - sinks, cracks, overflows of concrete, as well as protruding fittings, gravel, etc. Moisture in the concrete screed in the surface layer with a thickness of 20 mm should not be more than 4%. In other words, surface preparation for waterproofing works must strictly comply with the established SNiP.

Brickwork, or masonry from wall or foundation blocks must be plastered with reinforcement in the form of a metal mesh before waterproofing works. The prepared surface should have an even and smooth structure.

It is necessary to clean metal structures from the remains of the old paint coating and stratum rust. Clean metal does not need to be cleaned. The surface will be dusted and degreased, oil, bitumen and other stains can be removed with the help of a solvent.

Works on the application of Hekopren Ecobit mastic are carried out both in summer and in winter, at temperatures from "-" 20 to "+" 40 degrees Celsius, in the absence of atmospheric precipitation.

Mastic is applied with a roller or brush. Before applying the Hekopren Ecobit mastic, it is necessary to thoroughly mix it by barbating or mechanically. The temperature of the mastic itself must be equal to or close to the temperature of the insulated surface; for this, the "Hekopren" mastic should be kept under the same temperature conditions before application.

The application of the waterproofing coating should be carried out according to the following technological scheme:
Priming of the prepared insulated surface. It ensures dedusting of the surface and increases adhesion. The average consumption of Hekopren Ecobit primer for concrete-based surfaces is 0.35 kg per 1 sq.m of surface, for metal structures - 0.2 kg per 1 sq.m.
Drying primer. At an air temperature of "+" 20 degrees Celsius, it takes 20-25 minutes. At negative temperatures, the drying time increases by 2.5-3 times.
Application of Hekopren Ecobit mastic in the amount of 1 kg per 1 square meter. m of surface with subsequent drying.
Fiberglass reinforcement of seams and joints, or complete pasting with the help of "Hekopren" mastic on the previous layer of mastic (see point 3). T-11 and T-13 brands of fiberglass are used.
Layer-by-layer application of Hekopren Ecobit mastic with separate drying of applied layers. The drying time of one layer to degree "3" ("detick") at an air temperature of "+" 20 degrees Celsius is 30-35 minutes, and at a temperature of "-" 20 degrees Celsius – more than 1.5 hours. Each subsequent layer must be applied after the drying of the primer or the previous layer of mastic. The layer is considered almost dry if, when pressed with a finger, it does not "stick" and no imprint remains on the surface.
Note: Grade "3" ("sticking") means the condition of a freshly applied layer of Hekopren Ecobit mastic, in which this layer does not stick to the attached finger and at the same time does not peel off from the base, i.e. it is possible to walk on this layer and perform work without its destruction or deterioration of its operational properties.

After complete drying of the Hekopren Ecobit mastic carpet, a protective and decorative layer with aluminum powder is applied over it. Its main function is the reflection of ultraviolet rays, which prolongs the service life of the coating. It is used when installing soft roll-free roofs. Average consumption of protective and decorative composition: 0.2 kg per 1 sq.m of surface.
Note: Roll-free soft roofs are roofs for waterproofing of which liquid coating materials are used, including bitumen, polymer, polyurethane mastics, etc., without the use of roll materials, such as technoelast, roofing material, hydrostekloizol, etc.

The thickness of the dry residue when applying 1 kg of Hekopren Ecobit mastic on 1 square meter of surface is on average (0.25 +/- 0.05) mm, i.e. to obtain a waterproofing layer with a thickness of 1 mm, it is necessary to apply 4-5 kg ​​of mastic per 1 sq. m. m of surface.

Checking the thickness of the finished waterproofing carpet is carried out by cutting a piece of the coating 50x50 mm in size from it and measuring its thickness with a caliper.

Note: The thickness of the dry residue (mm) depends only on the amount of mastic (kg) applied to the insulated surface (sq.m). When applying 4-5 kg of "Hekopren" mastic per 1 square meter, the thickness of the dry residue will be at least 1 mm.

Like any paint coating, Hekopren Ecobit mastic is recommended to be applied in a thin layer - on average, one application spreads 0.7 kg of mastic per 1 square meter. m of surface. Otherwise, the thick layer will "acidify" and it will take a long time to dry, since the upper layer, caught by the crust, will not allow the inner layer to dry.

Note: All calculations for application of Hekopren Ecobit mastic and control of dry residue are made in kilograms per 1 square meter of insulated surface. Let's repeat: when applying 1 kg of Hekopren Ecobit mastic on 1 square meter of insulated surface, the thickness of the dry residue is (0.25+/-0.05) mm. At the same time, 1 kg of mastic can be applied 1 time (undesirable, because it dries for a long time), 2 times 0.5 kg, 3 times 0.33 kg (undesirable, because labor costs increase). Depending on the temperature of the environment and the ventilation of the room, it is recommended to roll out 0.5 — 0.7 kg of Hekopren Ecobit mastic (per 1 sq.m.) for one application.

Average consumption of Hekopren Ecobit mastic during production:
1. Roof - 4 kg per 1 m2 of surface.

2. Fundamentals - 2-2.5 kg. per 1 m2 of surface

3. Metal structures - 1-1.5 kg per 1 m2 of surface.

The thickness of the dry residue when applying 1 kg of Hekopren mastic on 1 m2 of surface is 0.25-0.3 mm.
