Function:

The A/C compressor clutch assembly plays a key role in creating and maintaining a cool interior in your vehicle. It is responsible for transferring energy from the engine to the compressor, which, in turn, compresses and cools the refrigerant, providing cold air in the cabin. Replacement of this spare part is necessary in case of wear or damage to ensure continuous and efficient operation of the air conditioner.

The clutch in the air conditioner compressor assembly consists of several main components:

Pulley with bearing: The pulley is the main element that connects to the drive belt of the engine. It transmits the rotating motion from the engine to the air conditioner compressor.

Magnet: The magnet serves to activate the clutch, which ensures that the compressor of the air conditioner turns on and off depending on the requests of the air conditioning system.

Pressure plate: The pressure plate helps ensure reliable engagement of the clutch with the compressor, and also reduces wear and increases the service life of the mechanism.
