Sotru Calrose Premium rice is a quality blend of Japonika rice - round grain sushi rice
and Culrose - a Californian type of rice that has been grown in Vietnam since 1948 and imported around the world, including the United States.
The peculiarity of this variety is increased gluten due to the content of
starch in a larger amount than even Japonica. This allows you to use fewer additional ingredients when cooking, as well as to avoid drying (hardening) during short-term storage in a rice cooker.
