= General recommendations
The highest efficacy of the drug is achieved when used in the early stages of weed development and at optimal humidity and soil temperature. The optimum ambient temperature for the use of the drug is from +15 to +25 ˚С. It is best to spray in the presence of 2-3 leaves to the tiller phase in annual and 4-6 leaves in perennials (at height of plants 10-15 cm) weeds. Under these conditions, minimum recommended consumption rates are used. If the herbicide is used in the later phases of weed development, the cost should be increased. The norms of the drug that are recommended for the destruction of perennial weeds should be used to destroy cultivated cereals. The most sensitive stages to grainicides in winter wheat=-1-2 leaves, in barley-before the start of the tiller. Herbicide treatments should be avoided during heat, drought, frost, high wind, other adverse weather conditions and an hour before the rain. It is not recommended to treat herbicide sugar beet, which are in a state of stress (frost, wind, insect damage, nutrition, the effect of other herbicides). Mechanism of action
The active substance Hizalofop-P-ethyl is systemic and belongs to the chemical class of ariloxifenoxipropionates. After treatment, it is quickly absorbed by leaves and other weeds and is transferred to growth points, roots and rhizomes. The plant blocks the production of phospholipids used to build cell membranes required for plant growth.
= Properties
The drug has systemic activity. Within 1 hour after Astarg, the weeds stop in growth. Visible symptoms of herbicidal action (redness of the leaves, darkening of the stem) appear for 7-8 days. When applied, it should be borne in mind that the complete death of weeds occurs no earlier than 10-14 days in annual cereals and 14-21 days-many years. But during this time, they do not grow or suppress the culture. If there is dry hot weather after use of the drug, you should not worry, the herbicidal action slows down, weeds no longer grow or suppress culture, and when favorable weather conditions occur, they begin to die.
