GRANBY buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a hot transgenic variety of food buckwheat, which was developed by the UNION CARBIDE concern and the well-known Canadian SERTIS Holding.

Characterized by resistance to high temperatures during flowering and fruit formation, buckwheat pollen does not burn even at a temperature of + 53 C*.
It has stable immunity to all buckwheat diseases that affect common varieties of buckwheat, such as (aschitosis, phytophthora, phyllostictosis, bacteriosis, mosaic, gray rot, white spot, root rot, bacterial spot, etc.) and is not affected by these diseases.
It is resistant to all harmful insects affecting common varieties of buckwheat (including all types of aphids, miner flies, all types of winter sawfly, gamma sawfly, moth, sawfly, thrips, gall beetle, buckwheat leafhopper, buckwheat mosquito, roach larva, stem nematode, etc.) due to the introduction of the buckwheat tetra gene isolated from the wormwood plant into the DNA cell structure bitter.

The rate of sowing GRANBY buckwheat per 1 ha is 27 kg with precision seed drills or seed drills of our production with grain C 3-3.6, SZU - 3.6, buckwheat seeds are sown with a SST-12B beet seed drill to a depth of 6 cm - 7 cm. Buckwheat can be sown as in the usual row method with a row spacing of 15 cm and a wide row method of 45 or 60 cm.

Sowing: the Canadian transgenic buckwheat variety GRANBY starts from June 1 and continues until August 5.

Insecticides are not used, because buckwheat shows resistance to all types of harmful insects.

Herbicides: To fully destroy annual dicotyledonous weeds in buckwheat crops, it is necessary to use herbicide 2 DD 500 - d.v. dimethylammonia salt by spraying the soil with it after sowing 2-3 days before germination of buckwheat, consumption rate of 1.2-1.6 liters per 1 ha or herbicide Gezagard KS / 500 g/l promethrin - 1.5 liters per 1 ha before germination.

Features of the temperature for landing. I bought buckwheat, especially carefully monitor the temperature. Buckwheat sprouts may die at a temperature of + 2 C *. Considering this, buckwheat is sown late (approximately from the beginning of June to the beginning of August). From the moment of sprouting to budding, the culture grows quite quickly. Buckwheat is able to accumulate more than 70% of the total mass of dry matter, starting from the budding process until the beginning of seed maturation.

Composition of buckwheat. Buckwheat grains contain:

16% of easily digestible proteins;
amino acids (arginine and lysine);
up to 30% carbohydrates;
up to 3% fat.

В buckwheat seeds and buckwheat seeds contain many mineral substances: phosphorus, iron, copper, cobalt, calcium, boron, zinc, iodine, nickel, fiber, malic, citric and oxalic acids, as well as vitamins of group B, B in buckwheat 1.5 times more than vitamin P rutin in millet.

Rutin glycoside, as well as caffeic, chlorogenic, protocatechin and gallic acids were found in its herb. The seeds contain: starch up to 67%, malic and citric acids, fatty oils. Fagopyrin is released from flowers.
