GOST 12871-93. Chrysotile asbestos (asbocrumb) is a processed asbestos fiber (other names: chrysotile asbestos, asbestos crumb, asbestosite, asbestos), consists of a mixture of fibers of different lengths.
It is used in the production of asbestos-technical and asbestos-cement products. Chrysotile asbestos (asbocrumb) is used for thermal insulation of furnaces, pipes and heating devices, lining of steam boilers, as protection of metal structures from exposure to high temperatures.

Depending on the length of the fiber, chrysotile asbestos is divided into eight groups: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Asbocrush of group 0-b is divided into grades depending on the fractional composition, determined by the method of dry sieving on a control apparatus of four sieves:

the second - 4.8 mm;
the third - 1.35 mm;
the fourth - 0.4 mm.

Chrysotile asbestos of the 7th group is divided into brands depending on the bulk density.
