Polyurethane rod, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Polyurethane elastic polymer, which is used instead of rubber and even some metals, it is often used in mechanisms where there is constant friction. Polyurethane is a unique synthetic polymer material, consisting mainly of two types of raw materials, isocyanate and polyol, which are obtained from crude oil. Polyurethanes can be viscous liquids or solid products - from highly elastic soft rubbers to hard plastics. Polyurethane, as a structural material, not only replaces metals and rubber, but sometimes even surpasses them in terms of operational properties. Due to their characteristics, polyurethane products are used under extreme mechanical loads.
The hardness of polyurethane can vary from 55 to 98 units. according to Shor A.
Polyurethane material shows resistance to aggressive mediafuel, technical and mineral oils. This material does not emit components harmful to human health, so it is used in food production.
Polyurethane plate can be used as:
- stamping plate in wood stamping production;
- elastic lining material, covers on the gate, etc.;
- lining plate;
- shock absorber, damper, compensator, vibration damper;(//tractor-service.com)
- flexible, elastic and wear-resistant cleaner for conveyor belts;
- scraper for rollers;
- a blank for the assembly of parts of machines and mechanisms.
Important features of polyurethane:
- high wear resistance; elasticity; strength; tear resistance; immunity to microorganisms (molds); resistance to swelling inoils and liquids.
