One of the most widely used types of rolled brass in industry is a brass pipe.
The use of brass pipes has a huge spectrum: radiator pipes are used in heating engineering (in the manufacture of radiators); manometric pipes are intended for manometric springs, sensitive elastic elements of high-precision instruments; pressed and drawn pipes are involved in the production of threaded connections for union nuts, sanitary fittings, nipples, couplings, etc. Brass pipes are used in machine building, instrument building, and shipbuilding.
Drawn brass pipes (according to GOST 494) are made of L68 and L63 brasses; pressed pipes (according to GOST 494) are made of LS59-1, L63 brasses.(//tractor-service.com)
Thin-walled pipes (according to GOST 11383), in turn, with a wall thickness of 0.15 to 0.35 mm and from 0.40 to 0.70 mm are produced from L63, L68, L96 brass (chemical composition in accordance with GOST 15527).
Brass pipes for heat exchange devices (according to GOST 21646) are made of brass grades LMsh68-0.05, L68, ЛО70-1, LAMsh77-2-0.05 and ЛОМsh70-1-0.05 (chemical composition according to GOST 15527-70).
Brass manometric pipes (according to GOST 2622) are made of L63 brass, chemical alloy composition is determined according to GOST 15527.
