The principle of operation of grain dryers is simple and reliable, which is confirmed by the following:
grain is fed into the upper part of the dryer, and with the help of an auger it is gradually and evenly distributed along its entire length. After filling with grain, the auger automatically stops and turns on depending on the speed of grain passage through the dryer. The air heated by the burner, under the pressure of the fan, passes through a uniform layer of grain, heats it and removes moisture from the outside through the perforated walls of the sections. The amount of grain passing through the dryer (productivity) depends on its initial moisture and the selected drying mode and is regulated by the speed of rotation of the metering rollers, which are located at the bottom of the grain sections along the entire length of the dryer on both sides. After the rollers, the dried grain enters the lower auger of the dryer and is transported further by auxiliary equipment for cooling, cleaning or storage.
When selecting the batch mode of operation, grain drying occurs cyclically: loading with grain, heating the grain to the desired temperature, cooling and unloading.
