Performed functions
Provides protection of the crane against overloading and overturning when lifting cargo, against damage to the crane when working in confined conditions (coordinate protection), against collisions of crane mechanisms with power lines (protection against dangerous voltage), as well as registration of linear and load parameters of the crane.

Load capacity limiter
The device automatically generates signals to turn off the cargo lifting mechanism and mechanisms, the continuation of which is aimed at reducing the stability of the crane, when lifting a cargo with a mass exceeding the nominal load capacity on the current flight.

Limitation of the moving crane
The device automatically stops the mechanisms:

lifting the hook when it approaches the extreme upper and lower positions (limiter of the maximum lifting and lowering of the hook);
flight changes in extreme positions;
of the crane when the boom of the crane approaches the dangerous distance to the power lines (the limiter of the dangerous approach to the power lines).

Measurement and display of linear and load parameters of the crane
The device determines and displays on the display of the indication block:

loading parameters of the crane — the weight of the load on the hook, the useful load capacity for the current departure and the degree of loading;
linear parameters of the crane — reach, length of the boom (for cranes with a telescopic boom), lifting height of the boom head;
calendar date and current time of day.

Coordinate protection
Coordinate protection is intended to prevent the crane from colliding with obstacles in tight working conditions.

The following types of coordinate protection are implemented in OGM240:

"Ceiling" is a limitation of the height of the boom head;
"Wall" — restriction of departure along a line with an arbitrary angle of inclination;
"Turn to the right" and "Turn to the left" — limit the angle of rotation of the arrow.

Parameter logger
The memory of the parameter recorder consists of three areas intended for storing operational information, information about crane overloads and long-term information.

Operational information and information about reloads consists of a set of records. One record includes:

date and time of recording;
cargo mass;
the maximum permissible mass of cargo for the current departure;
crane loading degree;
angle of inclination of the arrow;
departure;

the date of installation of the safety device on the crane.

Control of chassis and crane installation parameters
Measurement and display on the display of the indication unit:

pressureoils in the engine lubrication system;
coolant temperature;
oil pressure in various parts of the hydraulic system of the crane;
oil temperature in the hydraulic system.

Management of electrical equipment of the crane installation and chassis
The device generates control signals:

electromagnets to allow crane operations;
electromagnet for turning on the winch's accelerated operation;
by a general flashlight;
consecration of cargo;
oil cooling fan in the hydraulic system of the crane.
