Selective
herbicide systemic action, used in soybean fields. It is absorbed through the stems and leaves of weeds, moves throughout the plant, moving both through the xylem and through the phloem, and accumulates in the meristematic tissue. Growth stops soon after non-root fertilization, actively growing tissues, such as the insertion meristem of grasses, are first affected. The tissue of older leaves may turn purple, orange, or red before eventually becoming necrotic.
