Profilirovanny sheet (also profiled sheet, corrugated board, corrugated sheet) is a facing wall or roofing building material intended for use in construction during construction external fencing, walls and roofs; recently - for monolithic reinforced concrete monolithic ones covered "by corrugated board". Profiled sheet is a metal sheet made from galvanized sheet steel by cold rolling on rolling mills. When manufactured, it is subjected to profiling (adding a wavy, trapezoidal, square, etc. profile) to increase rigidity.
Field of application

Profiled sheet is used:

when facing walls;
as a roofing material for the construction of industrial facilities and residential buildings;
as an enclosing structure (fence);
in the construction of self-supporting structures;
as a non-removable formwork for the ceiling device.
Professional flooring is used in the construction of walls and roofs of workshops, warehouses, trade pavilions, hangars, cottages, garden and country houses. The profiled sheet for the roof and walls can be used both for the renovation of old roofs and for the construction of new structures. The steel base and stiffening ribs provide the necessary rigidity to the roof, walls and load-bearing floors. The walls and roof made of corrugated board do not weigh down the building and have excellent tightness.

Flooring
Steel profiled flooring consists of "corrugated sheet profiles, connected to each other along the longitudinal edges and fixed on the support structures of the coating, located across the corrugations of the flooring" [~ 1]. Beams and purlins serve as supporting structures of the covering.

Classification of flooring profiles depending on the shape of the cross section of the corrugation[~ 2]:

wavy profiles;
profiles with trapezoidal corrugations;
cassette profiles;
profiles for flooring with a seam connection.
Flooring profiles are attached to steel supporting structures using the following types of connections[~ 3]:

connections on self-tapping screws installed in pre-drilled holes of a smaller diameter than the screw;
connections on self-tapping self-drilling screws;
connections on dowels installed by shooting with a special powder gun;
connections by one-sided spot welding (welded electric rivets) for fastening unpainted profiles.
Non-cut flooring can perform the role of a conventional coating, then the profiles are attached to the extreme supports in each wave, and to the intermediate supports - across the wave; or the flooring can perform the role of a horizontal stiffness diaphragm, replacing the horizontal ties, then the profiles are attached in each wave to all supports[~ 4].

Between themselves, the flooring profiles along the extreme shelves are fastened in the following ways[~ 5]:

self-tapping screws installed in pre-drilled holes or without them;
with pull-out (combined) rivets installed in drilled holes;
by spot contact welding during the production of enlarged floor maps from profiles without paint coating.
Welded joints of corrugated board with purlins are performed by any of the methods of spot arc welding[~ 6]:

under flux;
incarbon dioxide;
self-protective powder wire;
covered electrode.
The areas of the surface to be melted and the adjacent zone of the welded sheets and purlins within a radius of 20 mm or more are cleaned of dirt, rust and grease before welding.

The following operations are performed during manual welding of corrugated board covered with electrodes:(//tractor-service.com)

installation at the site of the dispute device;
the sheet is tightly pressed to the beam by pressing with the help of the device (the gap between the welded surfaces is allowed no more than 0.5 mm).
installation of the electrode in the hole of the forming device;
performing a point connection at a welding current of 120–200 A, depending on the diameter of the electrode, within 2–3 seconds.
removing the device and moving it to the next place of the dispute.
Upon completion of welding, the surfaces of the joints are cleaned of slag and flux residues.

The methods of fastening the flooring and profiles to each other are accepted in the working documentation of the KM brand[~ 7].

Classification
The main normative document in the CIS countries, regulating the parameters of corrugated board, is GOST 24045-2016.

Profiled sheets are different:

By field of application: facade (wall, for fence), roof, bearing;
According to the shape of the corrugations (wavy, trapezoidal);
The height of the corrugation is from 8 to 21 mm — a profiled wall sheet used for finishing walls, fences, and gates; more than 44 mm — profiled sheet used for roofing and where significant load is expected; more than 57 mm — corrugated board for non-removable formwork (inter-floor and monolithic ceilings);
In the width of the profile;
By the thickness of the sheet (about 0.3 to 1.5 mm);
On the full and useful width of the sheet.
The profile sheet differs in the thickness of the sheet, the height of the "ribs" and the distance between the "ribs". The overall size and useful area are also taken into account. So, for example, the c-10 mark means a rib height of 10 mm.

In accordance with European standards, trapezoidal profiles are permissible for use:

with rounded ridges;
traditional trapeze;
with reinforced ridge and wall;
with reinforced groove.
Marking
H ("bearing") — profiled sheets with this marking are used for the construction of roofs.
C ("wall") - profiled sheets with this marking are used for the construction of fences, walls and partitions.
HC — profiled sheets with this marking are used as a roof covering and as a corrugated board for walls.
PC ("professional roofing") — profiled sheets with this marking are used for the construction of roofs.
PG ("longitudinally bent") — profiled sheets with this marking are used for the construction of arched structures, arched canopies, hangars.
Manufacturing materials
Profiled sheets are classified according to the source material (main):

steel profiled sheet without protective coating;
profiled sheet hot-galvanized;
profiled hot-dip galvanized sheet with additional protective and decorative coating;
profiled sheet of copper, chromium-nickel steel, aluminum;
profiled sheet of special purpose (with textured embossing, perforation, bent, etc.).
Profiled steel sheets have the least corrosion resistance, so they are not in great demand. Profiled sheets made of aluminum, copper, chrome-nickel steel are the most expensive.
