for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in farm birds

COMPOSITION AND FORM OF ISSUE
Stop-coccid 2.5% in 1 ml contains: toltrazuril 25 mg as the active substance, and triethanolamine and macrogol 400 as auxiliary substances.
In appearance, the drug is a transparent or slightly opalescent yellow liquid.
The drug is released in packs of 10, 100 ml, 1 l in polymer bottles with screw-on caps with control of the first opening. Bottles with a volume of less than 1 liter are placed in a cardboard pack. Each unit of consumer packaging is supplied with instructions for use.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Stop-coccid 2.5% belongs to the anticoccidial preparations of the triazinetrione group.
Toltrazuril, which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of coccidiocidal action on all stages of intracellular development (merogonia and hamogonia) of coccidia (Eimeria) parasitizing birds, including Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria brunetti, Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria mitis, Eimeria adenoides, Eimeria meleagrimitis, Eimeria anceris, Eimeria truncata, including coccidia resistant to other anticoccidial drugs. The mechanism of action of toltrazuril consists in blocking respiratory enzymes and exerting a damaging effect on mitochondria and the processes of nuclear division of coccidia. Toltrazuril, disrupting the process of formation of macrogametocytes, causes the death of the parasite. After oral administration of the drug, toltrazuril is slowly absorbed and has a coccidiocidal effect on the mucosa and submucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. Toltrazuril is excreted from the body of birds mainly in unchanged form, as well as in the form of metabolites with droppings. Stop-coccid 2.5% in terms of the degree of impact on the body belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

INDICATIONS
Stop-coccid 2.5% is used for broiler chickens, repair young chickens, turkeys, geese andto ducks for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis when a critical level of coccidia (10-20 thousand/g) is reached in the litter, as well as when clinical signs of the disease appear in birds.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION
Stop-coccid 2.5% is applied to birds with water for drinking two days in a row at a dose of 7 mg of toltrazuril (active ingredient) per 1 kg of bird weight (28 ml of the drug per 100 kg of bird weight), which is equivalent to:
• 1 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water, which the bird drinks for 48 consecutive hours or
• 3 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water, which the birds drink for 8 hours a day for two days in a row.
In severe cases of disease, the course of treatment is repeated after 5 days.
During the period of application of Stop-coccid 2.5%the bird should receive only water containing the drug. The medicinal solution remains effective for 48 hours. If a precipitate appears, the solution should be thoroughly mixed before use.
In case of an overdose, a decrease in appetite, a decrease in water consumption and weight loss can be observed in birds.
Stop-coccid 2.5% is not recommended to be used simultaneously with other anticoccidial drugs.(//tractor-service.com)
Features of the action of the medicinal product at its first use and withdrawal have not been revealed.
Violation of the scheme of drug use should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in its therapeutic effectiveness. In case of missing the next dose, the use of the drug should be resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.

SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug Stop-coccid 2.5% in accordance with the present instructions, side effects and complications are not observed in animals, as a rule.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Stop-coccid 2.5% should not be used in breeding birds, repair young chickens older than 16 weeks.
The drug is not intended for use in laying birds, due to the accumulation of the drug in eggs.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter of broiler chickens for meat is allowed no earlier than 14 days, turkeys, geese and ducks — no earlier than 16 days after the last use of Stop-coccid 2.5%. In the case of the forced slaughter of birds before the established terms, the meat can be used for feedfurred animals.

Preventive measures
When working with Stop-coccid 2.5%, you should observe the general rules of personal hygiene and safety techniques, provided for when working with medicinal preparations.
Smoking, drinking and eating are not allowed while working with the drug. At the end of the work, hands should be washed with warm water and a detergent. It is forbidden to use empty vials and canisters from the drug for household purposes, they must be disposed of with household waste.
In case of accidental contact of the medicinal product with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, it is necessary to wash them with a large amount of water. People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with Stop-coccid.
In case of allergic reactions or accidental ingestion of the drug in the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (have the instructions for use of the drug or the label with you).

STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store the drug in the manufacturer's closed package, in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 2 °C to 25 °C.
Stop-coccid 2.5% should be stored in places inaccessible to children.
The shelf life of the drug under the conditions of storage in the closed packaging of the manufacturer is 3 years from the date of production, after opening - no more than 60 days. The use of Stop-coccid 2.5% after the expiration date is prohibited.
Unused medication is disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the law.
