Ego is often confused with oat grass. The color and somewhat similar shape are confusing, but the oat tufts are much higher and more spread out. Perennial cereal plant, the tallest of the grasses with a blue tint. Forms spectacular duck-shaped bushes. The leaves are characteristic evergreen, upright, gray-blue shade, 1 cm at the base, pointed at the top. A stem with a green or variegated spike appears in July-August at a height of up to 120 cm. It prefers a sunny place, in the shade it can acquire a green color. It prefers dry, loose soil with a low content of nutrients. Does not tolerate wet and heavy soils. Good drainage is required. A very winter-hardy plant, it is recommended to cut the aerial part in the spring. 4 pcs. per 1 sq. m.
