Homogenizers are used in food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Currently, it is impossible to imagine obtaining a large number of products without processing in a high-pressure homogenizer. The list of such products is very extensive and includes such products as milk, fruit juices, creams, i.e. various emulsions and dispersions. This list is constantly updated with new areas of application of homogenizers and new products.
The mixed product (regardless of the initial viscosity) is fed at an initial pressure of 0.1 to 0.5 MPa into a three-piston plungerhigh-pressure pump. Inpump pressure the product is set at a given level, necessary for the implementation of the homogenization process. Under this pressure, the product is pumped through a narrow gap. The product particles, passing through the cavitation zone and the turbulent zone, hit the reflective ring under high pressure, experiencing high shear stresses. The finished product enters the output line at normal pressure. The size of the particles at the output is on average from 0.7 to 1.0 μm.
