Mulan is an intensive mid-early variety of winter baking wheatwheat with productivity potentialgrains more than 10 t/ha. Mulan is an ear-type variety, in which the mass of grain in an ear can reach 2 g. Thanks to its high adaptability, it provides a consistently high yield even under unfavorable or arid growing conditions.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, is very flexible at the time of sowing and feels good after stubble predecessors. Among its advantages are a high coefficient of tillering, high drought resistance, excellent resistance to lodging andseed germination in the ear. Mulan has increased resistance to powdery mildew, fusarium wilt, and brown rust, but to realize its potential, it is necessary to use intensive technology to protect plants from a complex of diseases. During the years of official testing in Ukraine (2008-2011), Mulan consistently exceeded standard varieties in terms of productivity in Polesia and Forest Steppe conditions and was at the level of standards in the Steppe zone.
