Mercury OR is a classic sunflower hybrid of Ukrainian selection, which is characterized by a consistently high level of productivity and resistance to lodging.

Due to the fact that the requirements for sunflower hybrids are constantly growing, the consumer needs a sunflower with a consistently high level of yield, resistance to diseases and negative weather and climatic conditions in different areas of cultivation. This category includes the Mercury OR hybrid. It is intended for cultivation in all zones of Ukraine.

Due to a powerfully developed root system (which reaches 1.5-2.0 m), the Merkury OR sunflower guarantees high productivity in the arid territories of Ukraine, especially in the Odesa and Kherson, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. It can be said that Mercury OR is a sunflower for the south of Ukraine. The yield of the Mercury OR sunflower is always consistently high, and amounts to 4.5 t/ha.

The features of this hybrid include high resistance to lodging. With the development of a strong root system, a strong stem is formed in Mercury OR, which makes Mercury OR resistant to gusty winds. The sunflower kernel is large, besides, Mercury OR is a high-oleic sunflower. Mercury OR is a sunflower resistant to blight, as well as other weeds and common sunflower diseases.

The vegetation period is 110-115 days, allowing to form a high yield. The baskets of the Mercury OR sunflower hybrid have a small diameter and a convex shape, and the seeds are of a large fraction. Oil yield from sunflower - 50%.
