Composition and form of release:

The Kanigen DHA2PPi/L vaccine consists of two components that are mixed at the time of application: — the lyophilized component contains an attenuated strain of the plague of carnivores (strain Lederle VR 128), adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2 strain Manhattan), canine parvovirus type CPV Cornell (strain CPV 780916), canine parainfluenza virus (CPIV strain Manhattan), with the addition of auxiliary substances: lactose monohydrate - 126 mg/dose, potassium dihydrogen phosphate - 0.64 mg/dose; — the liquid component contains inactivated thiomersal leptospira serogroups: L. Icterohaemorrhagiae and L. Canicola with the addition of auxiliary substances: potassium dihydrogen phosphate - 0.47 mg/dose, water for injections up to 1 ml/dose. The dry component (Kanigen DHA2PPi) in appearance is a homogeneous dry porous mass of cream color, the liquid component (Kanigen L) is a suspension from cream to light yellow color. The components of the DHA2PPi/L vaccine are packaged in 1 cm3 (1 immunizing dose for dogs) in glass vials of the appropriate capacity, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced aluminum caps and sealed with plastic seals. Vials with dry and liquid components are packed in plastic boxes of 10 vials of each component. Instructions for its use are included in each box with the vaccine.

Biological properties:

The Kanigen DHA2PPi/L vaccine causes the formation of an immune response in dogs to the causative agents of plague, infectious hepatitis, adenovirus infection, parainfluenza, parvovirus enteritis and leptospirosis caused by leptospires of the Canicola and Icterohaemorrhagiae serogroups 21 days after repeated administration (revaccination), lasting at least 12 months. One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains at least: carnivorous plague virus 103.0-105.0 TCD50, carnivorous adenovirus type 2 104.0-106.0 TCD50, canine parvovirus type CPV Cornell 105.0-107.0 TCD50, carnivorous parainfluenza virus 105.0-107.0 TCD50, inactivated rabies virus not less than 1 ME, inactivated leptospira cultures of Canicola serogroups and Icterohaemorragiae - not less than 833x106 microbialcells/ml each. The vaccine is harmless, it has no medicinal properties.

The Kanigen DHA2PPi/L vaccine is prescribed for the prevention of plague, infectious hepatitis, adenovirus infection, parainfluenza, parvovirus enteritis and canine leptospirosis caused by leptospirae of the Canicola and Icterohaemorragiae serogroups.

Doses and method of application:

Puppies are subject to vaccination starting at 8 weeks of age. The vaccine is administered subcutaneously in a volume of 1 ml (1 immunizing dose) per administration, regardless of weight and breed. They are revaccinated after 3-4 weeks, but not earlier than 12 weeks of age, with the Kanigen DHA2PPi/LR vaccine. In the future, dogs are vaccinated annually, once, with one dose of the vaccine. Before use, the liquid component (Kanigen L) is introduced into the vial with the dry component (Kanigen DHA2PPi) using a sterile syringe and thoroughly mixed until the dry component is completely dissolved. All manipulations are carried out in compliance with the rules of asepsis. The effectiveness of immunization can be reduced in the case of vaccination of animals that have been exposed to stress. No symptoms of plague, infectious hepatitis, adenovirus infection, parainfluenza, parvovirus enteritis and canine leptospirosis or other pathological signs of vaccine overdose have been established. In rare cases, the vaccine can cause an allergic reaction. In this case, the use of the drug is stopped and symptomatic treatment is carried out. Violation of the scheme of vaccination should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of plague, infectious hepatitis, adenovirus infection, parainfluenza, parvovirus enteritis and leptospirosis in dogs. In case of missing the next administration of the vaccine, it is necessary to carry out immunization as soon as possible.

Storage conditions:

The vaccine is stored and transported in the manufacturer's closed packaging, in a dry place protected from light and inaccessible to outsiders, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C. It is not allowed to freeze the vaccine. The vaccine is stored in places inaccessible to children. Vials with vaccine without labels, with a violation of the integrity and tightness of the cap, subjected to freezing, with a changed color, consistency, containing foreign impurities, after the expiry date, as well as not used within 2 hours after dissolution, are subject to selection and disinfection by boiling for 15 minutes. Disposal of the decontaminated vaccine does not require special precautions. The shelf life of the vaccine is 24 months from the date of manufacture under the specified storage conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use.
