Forest sled winches are intended for capturing and hauling (sled) timber to timber trucks directly on the forest site. The hinged skidding winch is designed for skidding tree trunks and is used in logging, selective felling, in conditions difficult for equipment to reach. Suitable for all wheeled tractors. It works from the power take-off shaft of the tractor, is installed on the tractor's three-point system.

Service personnel - tractor driver and choker.
Principle of operation:
tractor backs up to a convenient parking spot, the tractor driver lowers the winch body with the help of the hydraulic system
tractor lowers the body of the winch until it stops on the ground, loosens the band brake of the drum with the help of a white rope going to the control lever. The choker unwinds the rope to the required length and chokes the whips with chains. At the choker's signal, the tractor driver engages the tractor's power take-off shaft and winch drum clutch with the help of a black rope going to the control lever and pulls the whips up to their stop in the winch's skid plate. After that, he turns off the clutch, raises the sliding shield of the winch and carries out the transportation of the whips to the place of unloading. Arriving at the unloading place, the tractor driver turns off the belt brake of the drum and lowers the whips to the ground, the choker unhooks the whips. Then the freed rope is wound on the drum and with the help of the winch shield it stacks the whips. The cycle of work is repeated.
