The stationary manipulator-transloader is a load-lifting crane fixed on a fixed base. The operation of the manipulator is provided by a hydraulic drive.
The OMT-70-02KS and OMT-70-04KS stationary manipulators are a more economical alternative to wheel loaders such as Sennebogen, Caterpillar and others. Economy is manifested not only at the stage of acquisition, but also in operation due to the use of electrical energy for the rotation of thepump hydraulic drive.
In the basic configuration, stationary loaders are supplied with a PL-70.40 two-jaw grapple, designed for working with lumber. With a forest grab, the manipulator-reloader can be used to feed timber into awoodcutter, chipper. It can also be used for loading and unloading railway wagons.

To work with loose cargo (chips, sawdust, husks, sawdust, branches, sapwood, stumps, waste material), the loader can be equipped with a bucket gripper.

The manipulator-transloader is controlled from the operator's post located in the cabin. Access to the control post is facilitated by the ladder supplied in the kit. The cabin protects the operator from the effects of external weather factors. To increase comfort, the cabin of the loader has heating, a windshield wiper, and a lamp that illuminates the workplace. Lighting devices located on the cabin illuminate the working area, which allows you to work in conditions of insufficient natural light. The additional lighting device is located on the handle and is intended for illumination of the gripper with cargo.

The OMT-70-04KS reloader differs from the OMT-70-02KS by the presence of an additional section of the handle extension. The reach of the OMT-70-02KS boom is 7.3 m, and the OMT-70-04KS is 8.5 m, which allows it to cover an area with a diameter of 17 m.

The lifting height and the lowering depth of the grab with the load are normalized relative to the support-turning device, with which the loader is attached to the support. The lifting height for the OMT-70-02KS loader is 9.5 m, for the OMT-70-04KS - 10.8 m. The OMT-70-02KS grapple lowering depth is 3.5 m, OMT-70-04KS - 4.5 m.
