Active substance: O, O-dimethyl-S-(N-methylcarbamoylmethyl) dithiophosphate.
White crystalline substance. The melting point is 51-52oC. Moderately soluble in water, well in organic solvents. Thermally unstable, decomposes under the influence of ultraviolet rays. It hydrolyzes quickly in neutral and alkaline environments, moderately resistant in acidic environments. Decomposition products are low-toxic.
Moderately toxic for warm-blooded animals, LD50 for rats is 230 mg/kg. 3rd class of danger (BY-58 new, Danadym), 2nd class of danger (rogor-S). It has mild cumulative and well-expressed skin resorptive properties. Highly dangerous for bees and fish.
Instructions for use, as well as dosageinsecticide BI-58 new: contact-intestinal insecticide and acaricide, possessing a systemic effect with high initial toxicity. The toxic effect of the drug on insects is due to the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity in the cholinergic synapses of the nervous system. The drug moves through the xylem inside the plant. The duration of protective action in field conditions is up to 15-20 days. The drug disappears from the surface of plants within 2-3 days, and remains in the soil for up to 12 months. In the recommended concentrations, the drug is non-phytotoxic. May cause burns of leaves of decorative plants andhops, as well as crops in protected soil conditions. In high concentrations, it causes a strong phytocidal effect.
