Breeding was done by Professor Yu. V. Bondarenko. According to the color of the plumage, several groups are distinguished, united in the concepts of "white Hercules" and "colored Hercules". The plumage color of "white Hercules" chickens ranges from white to gray-blue. The following colors of plumage are characteristic of the "colorful Hercules" - cuckoo, golden, silver, speckled, etc. Chickens are distinguished by their unpretentiousness and great endurance. On average, the weight of a rooster is 4.2-4.8 kg, a hen - 3.1-3.5 kg. Egg production per average laying hen is approximately 205-215 eggs per hour. The weight of the egg reaches 63-66 g. The color of the egg shell is cream. The high efficiency of fattening meat-egg roosters for meat when using a feed mixture with a protein level of 21% in feeding has been proven. At the age of 2 months, the average live weight of roosters is 2.0 kg, and at the age of 3 months - 3.0 kg, with the consumption of feed per 1 kg, the increase in live weight is 2.3-2.4 kg. The meat of Hercules is dense, the taste is closer to domestic chicken. Hercules is a Ukrainian analogue of various hybrid breeds of meat and egg breeds of foreign origin (Foxy Chick, Spanish, Master Gray, Red Bro, V-Color, etc.).
