Half-free morel (Mitrophora semilibera)
In contrast to the common morel, the cap of the semi-free morel is not fused with the leg, its lower part is freely located above the leg, like a cap (hence the name). The cap is brown, cone-shaped, small, with sharp longitudinal longitudinal partitions and large irregular diamond-shaped cells.
The leg is whitish or yellow, hollow. The height of the mushroom together with the cap reaches 4-15 cm, but larger specimens are also found.
The pulp is very fragile, thin with an unpleasant smell.
In nature, it grows in light deciduous forests, on edges, glades, aspens and lindens are preferred. It can also grow among birches, oaks, even in a deaf alder grove overgrown with nettles and other tall grasses.
