Cardinal is a table grape variety. It was distributed in Yugoslavia, France, Italy and other countries. The crown and upper young leaves of a young shoot are light green, without pubescence, with a slightly bronze tint at the tips of the teeth. The dissection of the leaves is average. A one-year mature shoot is bright brown, the nodes are dark brown. The leaf is large, rounded, moderately dissected, five-lobed, glabrous, shiny, smooth, sometimes slightly wavy. The upper incisions are of medium depth and deep, often closed, with a slit-shaped or oval lumen, the lower ones are open, lyre-shaped, narrow or in the form of entering angles. The petiole groove is open, arched, sometimes bordered by a vein on one side. The final teeth are triangular, elongated, with rounded tops and a light border. Marginal teeth are triangular, with convex sides (almost dome-shaped) or saw-shaped. Pubescence is absent on both sides of the leaf. A flowera double-sided grape. The bunch is large (19-28 cm long, 13-19 cm wide), cylindrical-conical, loose and very loose. The stem of the bunch is long (6-8 cm), green. The comb is green, breaks easily.
