Scope:
Food industry: fish/meat/
poultry processing, breweries, dairies, beverage production, bakery, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals.
• Cooling capacity: 10-10,000 kW,
• Significant heat transfer coefficient (up to 2000 W/m2K), 167
• Безопасная и стабильная работа при неравномерных тепловых нагрузках
• Obtaining ice water with a temperature close to the freezing point (0.5С), without the risk of defrosting the heat exchanger,
• Ease of maintenance and cleaning,
• Using water as a coolant,
• Direct contact with the product (screw baths).
In thin-film evaporators, the production of ice water at temperatures close to zero is achieved in the process of the flow of a thin layer of water over the surface of the evaporator, forming a water film, while intensively cooling. The temperature of ice water at the outlet of the film evaporator fluctuates within 0.5С - 2.0С.
The main advantage of the BUCO thin-film evaporator is safe and stable operation under extremely uneven heat loads, which can lead to freezing of water and destroy the evaporator. In the case of using a thin-film evaporator, the water freezes and covers the evaporator with an ice crust. This eliminates the danger of the evaporator being destroyed, because the liquid cools and freezes in open space, and not inside a hermetic heat exchanger, for example, as in a plate or shell-and-tube evaporator.
