What do the designations mean and what should you pay attention to?
DW = Double Well — a rim profile with a double well, used for bettertyre retention (especially at low pressure).

The letters after "DW" (A, B, etc.) denote different types of profile — furrow shape, stiffness, construction.

In addition to the size (23 × 42), such parameters as: the diameter of the fastening holes (bolts), the diameter of the center (pilot), the thickness of the rim, the configuration of the flange and other mounting dimensions are important.

The RE175488 rim is described as “DW23Ax42 with bolt flange, 76.2 OS” — that is, with a bolt flange on a 76.2 mm protrusion.
