Corn is a tall annual herbaceous plant reaching a height of 3 m or more. Corn has a well-developed fibrous root system that penetrates to a depth of 100-150 cm. At the lower nodes of the stem, aerial support roots can form, which protect the stem from falling and supply the plant with water and nutrients[3].
