Hydrangea large-leaved flowering, pink Sl. under repair, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Hydrangea with large leaves of pink color, P9l
The peculiarity of this variety is not only the size of the flower, but also the fact that it blooms on the shoots both last and current year, even when the flower fades, it looks attractive on the bush, which is shown in our photo.
Hydrangea is magnificent in terms of light-loving, it can be planted in light partial shade, but the less light, the later flowering occurs and the fewer inflorescences. Depending on the acidity of the soil, the color of the flowers can be changed. In the case of a slightly alkaline reaction of the environment, they are pink, during an acidic reaction, they change color to blue or blue. To obtain blue and blue inflorescences, it is necessary to add iron salts and quartz to the soil every two weeks: 3-5 aluminum-potassium or ammonia-potassium quartz per 1 liter of water. One plant requires 2 liters of such a solution. To accelerate flowering, the plant is sprayed twice with an aqueous solution of gibberellins at an interval of 4-7 days at a concentration of 50 mg/l. Then the hydrangea will bloom 2-4 weeks earlier. This technique also increases the decorativeness of plants. The flowers become bigger and there are more of them. Plants are treated when the inflorescence reaches 2-4 cm.
