Nitrogen fertilizer is used before sowing lawn grass and for top dressing.
Despite the variety of varieties of lawn grass, all plants need the main nutrients - phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen:
- the first ensures the accumulation of nutrients and stimulates cellular metabolism.
- the second increases the grass's resistance to adverse weather.
- the third affects saturated color and growth, normalizes the water-salt balance.
The deficiency of these nutrients is determined by the appearance of the lawn:
- nitrogen - the grass grows slowly, turns pale;
- phosphorus - the lawn acquires a lilac shade, the grass becomes brittle;
- potassium - burns appear on the grass.

You can feed lawn grass after winter in several stages.
The first spring feeding of the lawn falls on the end of March or the beginning of April. The snow should melt completely, and the ground should warm up to +10...+12°С. Follow the weather forecast. It is best to have time to apply
fertilizers for the lawn in the spring before the season of heavy rains and strong winds.
After 1-1.5 months, around the beginning of May during the active growth phase of lawn grass, you can re-fertilize.
The period for fertilizing lawn grass in the summer season is the end of June - the beginning of July. Fertilizing in the summer should be carried out early in the morning or late in the evening, when the temperature drops and the lawn is not exposed to excessive heat stress.
Usage:
Before applying, aerate the soil, spread the fertilizer evenly by hand or with a
seeder (follow safety precautions when working with chemicals), water abundantly.
Suitable for all types of lawn.
How often to fertilize the lawn?
It is usually enough to fertilize the lawn 3-4 times a year: 1-2 times in spring, 1 time in summer and 1 time in autumn.
In some cases, it is necessary to apply fertilizers more often - with an interval of 6-8 weeks.
