Etching Paste for treating the weld area and removing local corrosion.
Volume: 200 gr.
Etching paste removes scale, contamination and corrosion in the weld seam area and in the temperature-affected zone.
Transparent gel paste based on hydrofluoric (hydrofluoric) and nitric acids.
It is used to eliminate the harmful effects of high-temperature effects after welding or mechanical processing (stain color, scale) and to restore the passive layer on stainless and acid-resistant steels in heat-affected zones, as well as to remove contaminants that can also negatively affect the anti-corrosion barrier.
Ensures cleanliness and excellent appearance of the weld seam. Does not contain hydrochloric acid and chlorides. Thanks to its gel-like consistency, it can be used on vertical surfaces.
Method of application:(//tractor-service.com)
Before using the paste, clean the contaminated or painted seam fromoils, paint or other contamination... The paste is applied to the treated seam with a brush in an even layer. Do not bring the paste to an open fire, leave the paste under the influence of direct sunlight.
After the end of etching, it is recommended to wash off the remains of the paste with running water, to which after treatment it is desirable to add HD neutralizer (or treat with a 20% aqueous solution of lime).
Duration:
- Approx. 10 min. at 25-30 C
- Consumption: 150-250 h. m /kg
- At the end of the etching process, rinse with water
- Composition: Fluorescent acid < 7% Nitric acid < 20%
