The popularity of polyurethane as a material for external insulation of steel pipes is due to its exceptional properties. This material has low thermal conductivity and high mechanical strength. Also, it has high characteristics of resistance to radioactive UV radiation. But the main property of polyurethane is its low hygroscopicity, which prevents the accumulation of moisture between the walls of the pipeline, thus providing pipes with good anti-corrosion protection.
