Tibetan lofant has many medicinal properties. Stems, leaves and inflorescences are used in folk medicine. Freshly cut young leaves of lofant are most often used to prepare infusions and decoctions. The collection of raw materials is carried out twice an hour - in May and September. The leaves of the plant are dried in the sun and stored in glass containers. In terms of chemical and medical properties, lofant is similar toginseng and belongs to the class of natural adaptogens. The plant is used to tone the nervous system, increase immunity, and improve blood circulation. Lofant improves the tolerance of mental and physical stress, unfavorable conditions for the body, including low-calorie diets. According to biochemical studies, it is the most powerful immunostimulant. Unlike ginseng, its effect on the body is milder and more prolonged, i.e., its medicinal properties increase gradually and last for a long time. Its most important advantage is that, acting directly on the immune system, it makes our secretory organs work more actively, which means that it strengthens internal defenses. Lofant preparations help to increase immunity, restore strength after nervous disorders, strokes and hypertension crises, with inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the liver and urinary tract, in the treatment of acute respiratory infections, bronchitis, pneumonia and bronchial asthma. A bed (mattress and pillow-pillow) made of lofanta grass mixed with other herbs andstraw, covered with a sheet of coarse linen, forever relieves a person of headaches, insomnia, weather dependence, fungi and many other problems.
