This is a high-quality, chemically stable abrasive material, it is a highly dispersed (90% of particles less than 20 microns) white powder similar to talc. Due to the closeness of the ego structure, it is also called white graphite.
Due to its refractoriness (withstands a temperature of 3000C) and the property of easy sliding (it has a very low coefficient of friction), hexagonal boron nitride is used as a high-temperature lubricant. The material retains its lubricating ability in a wide temperature range.
The insulating properties make it possible to use hexagonal boron nitride as a separating medium in various processes with ceramics, metals and glass. It is simultaneously an electrical and thermal insulator (dielectric with high thermal conductivity), in combination with high fire resistance, heat resistance and chemical inertness, it is a material for use in semiconductor and electrovacuum instrumentation.
