The fruits are elongated, false drupes 6-8 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, weighing 15-20 g. They are covered with a fleshy-leathery shell, which becomes lignified and cracks when ripe. Collected in bunches of 3-11 pieces. The pit (nut) is oval in shape, with a pointed top, 2 cm long. The surface of the nut is smooth, shiny, ribbed, slightly wrinkled, brown in color. Inside is an edible, oily kernel with a sweetish taste, similar in shape to the kernel of a
walnut, but differs from its relative in the absence of partitions and smoother curves. Pecan ripens in September-October. Ripe fruits immediately fall from the tree.
Fertilization is abundant, annual, with the seed method of reproduction, it occurs at 9-11 years. Grafted trees start fruiting 4-5 hours after planting. One young plant yields up to 5 kg of fruit, an adult plant - up to 15 kg. Old individuals yield up to 200 kg
